Real estate careers in Jeddah

Jobs, neighbourhoods, where to invest, agencies and training for brokers in Jeddah. Real estate in Saudi Arabia is regulated by Real Estate General Authority (REGA), with rules that differ from the UAE.

The market in Jeddah

Jeddah recorded about 5,800 residential transactions worth SAR 7.2 billion in Q1 2026, down roughly 31% year on year, while apartment prices still rose 1.9% (Cavendish Maxwell via EnterpriseAM, July 2026).

Jeddah is the Red Sea gateway and the commercial hub of the Makkah region, which handled 28% of national transaction value in July 2026. Prime demand sits in the north and along the coast, from Al Shati and Al Zahra up to Obhur, where villa prices are the highest in the city. It also has by far the most foreign ownership zones of any Saudi city.

Foreign buyers
Non-Saudis can buy in Jeddah's designated zones, about 57 of them according to the June 2026 zones document, centred on Jeddah Central and the city's established and emerging coastal developments; REGA publishes the exact boundaries on an online map. Legal residents may also buy one home for their own use outside the zones. Jeddah is not subject to the Makkah city restrictions, which apply only within Makkah itself.
Broker licence
Nobody may broker or market property without a REGA licence, issued under the FAL brand and applied for online through REGA's brokerage platform. Under the implementing regulations an individual must be at least 18, have full legal capacity and a clean record, complete REGA's qualification programme for each activity and pay the fee; the licence lasts one year and can be extended up to five, with renewal requested within 60 days of expiry. From 1 September 2026 first-time applicants take three mandatory remote courses (brokerage, marketing, anti-fraud and money laundering) and an in-person exam set by the Saudi Real Estate Institute. The regulations set no nationality rule, but brokerage and real estate marketing have been 100% reserved for Saudi nationals by the labour ministry since October 2021, so in practice non-Saudis cannot work as licensed brokers; official fee amounts are not published in the regulations.
